# About Jeff & Fathers of Autistic Kids
Hi, I'm Jeff. I'm a father of 6-year-old twins in Cape Town, South Africa. One is neurotypical, one has autism.
When we first noticed the signs, I felt completely unprepared. Every resource I found was written for mothers - endless forum threads, generic advice, and "trust your instincts" guidance that left me more confused than helped.
As a father, I needed something different: systematic, actionable, step-by-step resources that told me exactly what to do.
So I built what I couldn't find.
# My Background
I'm not a therapist or medical professional - I'm a father in the trenches who happens to have unique expertise:
- Father of 6-year-old twins (one with ASD Level 2, one neurotypical)
- Finance professional with 15+ years experience in corporate finance
- Real estate investor who understands financial planning and asset protection
- Business systems expert who builds structured, actionable organisation frameworks
I combine lived experience with professional expertise to create resources that actually work for fathers.
## Why Fathers Need Different Resources
After diagnosis, I discovered a frustrating truth: almost all autism resources are created for mothers. Fathers process information differently. We need:
- Clear steps, not vague suggestions
- Actionable plans, not emotional support groups
- Systematic frameworks, not "trust your instincts"
- Evidence-based guidance, not anecdotal forum threads
Most importantly, we need resources from someone who actually gets what it's like to be a father trying to figure this out while managing work, marriage, and the overwhelming responsibility of getting this right.
That's what I've built here - practical, systematic resources that speak directly to how fathers think and operate.
